How common are these problems?
It is estimated that 40% of all wells have paraffin problems. Paraffin is a waxy like substance that clogs the inner workings of the well and impedes or stops production of oil. Paraffin accumulation, corrosion, scale and emulsion formation have resulted in significant economic losses and reduced profitability for oil producers and operators. Traditional control methods such as hot oiling, chemical treating and scraping have been marginally successful and temporary at best. Often these methods have serious long term effects (especially in the case of hot oiling) on the productive life of the well.

PARAGONE is composed of naturally occurring microorganisms suspended in an aqueous solution. PARAGONE is non-toxic and non-pathogenic. It will not harm humans, animals or plant life and requires no permits from the Environmental Protection Agency for transportation, use, or disposal. PARAGONE is not a solvent and is non-flammable and non-combustible. From a safety standpoint, the advantages over other treatments are obvious.

How does this effect profits?
There are thousands of wells that have been overlooked because of paraffin issues, near wellbore damage, and scale problems. Dynamic can leverage its expertise and treat wells that others have abandoned. Recently, a 5000 foot Devonian well that the company treated had been shut in and only produced a few times a year. After the Microbial treatment, the well flowed oil for the longest period since the operator held the well and had a big increase in production. Dynamic was able to buy into the well for a substantial discount before the treatment.
